Downderry and Seaton are in the parish of Deviock, and are on the coastal road between the sandy beaches at Whitsand Bay (2 miles away) and Looe which is about 5 miles further down the coast.
We are small villiages with a restaurant, beach cafe and coffee shop, local store with post office, School, and last, but not least, a pub in each.
In addition, many activities are held in The Zone (previously the Downderry Methodist Church) and the Downderry and Seaton Village Hall.
The costal path runs through the villages, and there are also the beaches and Seaton Valley Countryside park to enjoy.
Dogs are allowed on Downderry and Seaton beaches all year round, regular dogs, and their walkers are very friendly - see right.
Please ensure you pick-up. Dog bins are located at Downderry (on the slip way, memorial gardens, and by the public convenience), and at Seaton (by the sea defences, main bins, and the countryside park). Ordinary council bins can now be used for dog waste, if tied up in bags.
